Bank of America is not for America
On Wednesday, May 9th thousands of activists are expected to converge at the Bank of America headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., to take direct action against the biggest bank in America. Bank of America is number one in foreclosures nationally, has laid off thousands of workers, spends millions influencing our representatives and it paid no taxes the past two years. The nation needs to know what Bank of America’s done to America. A number of diverse movements will be represented including MoveOn.org, NC State AFL-CIO, Rainforest Action Network and several NC Occupy groups.
Occupy Tallahassee and Occupiers in many other cities will act in solidarity with those in Charlotte by staging actions at Bank of America locations in their home cities. Please join us in spreading awareness about the UN-American practices of Bank of America that have caused so much damage to our Economy, our Environment and our Political System. We will gather at the BOA location in Tallahassee at 2930 Apalachee Parkway at Noon on May 9th.

Tomorrow (Sunday, 11th of March) we’re going to be gathering at the Gaines St. Commons at 10:30 AM before heading out to gather leaves for the garden we’re going to be starting. If anybody has any rakes they can lend to us for the day, it would be greatly appreciated.
We’ve long talked about starting a garden at the Commons and now its finally getting some steam! Come on out and lend us a hand!
